Import, export, sharing

Your conversations are yours. You can bring history along from other tools, export anything, and share single conversations as read-only links.

Importing

In settings under Data, import accepts exported conversation files from ChatGPT and LibreChat-compatible tools. Upload the JSON export, and the conversations appear in your sidebar with their full history, ready to continue with any model.

Exporting

Any conversation exports from its menu in several formats:

  • Markdown or text: for notes, wikis, documentation.
  • JSON: the complete structured record, including branches. This is also the format you would re-import.
  • Screenshot: a rendered image of the conversation.

A full account export of all conversations is available in the data settings.

Create a share link from the conversation menu and anyone with the link can read the conversation up to the point you shared, without an account. The link shows a snapshot: messages you add later are not exposed. You can list and revoke your shared links in settings at any time.

Two things share links never include: your uploaded source files and anything from temporary chats, which cannot be shared at all.
